This morning, March 9, in Dong Ha City, Medipeace in Vietnam organized a meeting and exchange ceremony between the leadership of Medipeace Korea and partners in Quang Tri province to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Medipeace's establishment. In 2009, Medipeace Korea was established. Up to now, the organization has implemented projects in many countries, including Vietnam. Particularly in Quang Tri, Medipeace is the first Korean non-governmental organization to come to the province and has had an effective cooperative relationship for over 12 years. The cooperation programs and projects coordinated by Medipeace in the province are all practical, contributing to helping people with disabilities, especially local disabled children, have a better life. In the past, through cooperation projects, Medipeace has supported Quang Tri province with more than 138 billion VND. In addition, the organization has also played a bridging role, sending partners and highly specialized experts from Korea to advise on cooperation projects with Quang Tri province.

Speaking at the 15th anniversary of Medipeace, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam sent congratulations to the leadership and staff of Medipeace. At the same time, he highly appreciated the achievements of the projects that Medipeace has implemented in the province in general as well as the organization's active consulting role in supporting the province to build and mobilize non-refundable ODA aid from the Korean Government for the project "Building a Social Protection - Rehabilitation Center in Quang Tri Province" through KOICA with a budget of 12 million USD, period 2022 - 2026. Medipeace was also selected by KOICA as a consulting unit for training and operating this project.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of the units accompanying Medipeace in implementing cooperation projects in the province for sending dedicated experts with leading knowledge and experience in the fields of physical therapy - rehabilitation to support people with disabilities in Quang Tri. He hoped that in the coming time, Medipeace would continue to effectively implement approved projects, while closely coordinating with partners of Quang Tri province to promote new projects in the fields of health, education and vocational training.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam informed about the plan to organize the "Festival for Peace" and sent an invitation to Korean friends, especially Medipeace, to cooperate in organizing and participating in cultural, sports, music, culinary exchange activities... within the framework of this meaningful festival.

On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, Medipeace has launched a photo book titled “Song of Hope in Quang Tri” on the theme “Pain – Memory – Healing – Hope” and presented it to the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province. The book is a collection of photos taken by flycam at different locations in the province. Through 50 photos, the message of peace and aspiration of the government and people of Quang Tri province is conveyed to Korean friends as well as peace-loving people around the world.
