Ms. Thoa just arrived in Thailand today (January 5) to cheer for her son. Meanwhile, for midfielder Doan Ngoc Tan’s wife – Le Ngoc Thuy Anh – this is the first time she has gone abroad to watch her husband compete. The midfielder of Thanh Hoa club has just participated in a major tournament with the Vietnamese team for the first time but has immediately become an important factor in the squad.

“This is the first time Tan has been selected for the Vietnam national team and played away from home, and it is also the first time I have been able to cheer for him so far away. Everyone at home is very surprised, touched and proud. My husband and I text and call him every day. The two children at home also often call to encourage their father,” Thuy Anh shared.

Both Ngoc Tan and Hoang Duc were named in the starting lineup for the Vietnamese team in the second leg of the final. After winning 2-1 in the first leg, coach Kim Sang-sik's team only needed a draw to win the championship on away field.
