At Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC), the student’s mother said she was very excited and happy to find her daughter. She expressed her gratitude to the online community for spreading the information, as well as to the authorities in Vietnam and China for their support in the search process.

“If I can't find my child, I probably won't be able to live,” she choked.

The family also said that they have to wait until Hang's mental health stabilizes before asking more questions about the reason why she lost contact with her family.

As VietNamNet reported, before the Lunar New Year, Hang (a 4th year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics) informed her family that she would stay in Ho Chi Minh City to work part-time to earn money to pay her tuition.

However, since January 21 (December 22), Hang left the dormitory and her family has not been able to contact her since then. Worried about her safety, her family reported the incident to the police where she lost contact and asked the online community for help in the search.

Thanks to the help of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou City and the authorities, Hang was found in China.

Authorities continue to investigate and clarify the cause of Hang's loss of contact and appearance in China.
