How is Cuong Dola's McLaren 570S, which sold for more than 8 billion, doing now?

Recently, a rare McLaren 570S supercar was spotted on Ho Tung Mau Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and quickly attracted the attention of car enthusiasts. According to research, in the Vietnamese market there are 2 McLaren 570S, along with another McLaren 570S with a Lao license plate.

Among them, the McLaren 570S in this article is the first car to arrive in Vietnam and was once owned by the famous Vietnamese supercar player - Cuong Do La. After 9 years in Vietnam, the McLaren 570S is currently owned by a discreet car player, and the owner occasionally drives it out on the street to "sunbathe".

This McLaren 570S supercar has gone through many owners and was once sold for more than 8 billion VND in 2024, the first owner was Cuong Do La, then Tong Dong Khue bought it to experience from "super broker" Phan Cong Khanh. In addition, the car once had a 570-VX body kit from Vorsteiner, but is now back to original.

Despite having gone through many owners, the car's exterior still retains the original Blade Silver paint. Previously, the car's previous owner, a tycoon from Bac Lieu, upgraded the car with an extremely aggressive Vorsteiner bodykit. After changing owners in 2022, the car removed this upgrade package and returned it to its original state.

This McLaren 570S used to have a set of black multi-spoke rims from the Forgiato brand, but now it has returned to the 20-inch rims, with the original 5-spoke Y-shaped design of the car since it arrived in our country. However, the original silver brake calipers have now been changed to gold to create a highlight for the car.

In addition, some carbon details including the front splitter and rear diffuser still retain their newness as when the car was first brought into the country. One detail of the Vorsteiner tuning package is still kept on the 570S, which is the rear spoiler. This spoiler is larger than the original spoiler of the car, made of carbon material.

In addition, the exhaust system on the McLaren 570S owned by supercar player Cuong Do La was also upgraded to the FI Exhaust type to produce a more powerful, powerful sound from the twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

The brown interior still retains its new look since the car arrived in Vietnam, with the leather upholstery showing few wrinkles. However, this 570S is a Luxury variant, so the cabin does not have carbon fiber details. The car is also equipped with a central control and entertainment screen.

The McLaren 570S is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing 562 horsepower and 600 Nm of maximum torque. Compared to its "senior" 650S, the capacity of this model is 79 horsepower weaker.

However, this supercar still has the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h quite impressively, taking only 3.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 328 km/h. The car uses rear-wheel drive and a 7-speed SSG gearbox.

McLaren 570S is a sports car that the British car company considers a "cheap supercar", but when it first arrived in Vietnam, it had a selling price of up to 12 billion VND. Its production cycle was only 6 years with many versions such as Coupe and Convertible, 540C, 570GT, McLaren 600LT, McLaren 600LT Spider or McLaren 620R, only 350 units were produced.
