Mbappe continues to be booed.

The French star continued to face backlash from Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu during the match against Athletic Bilbao on the morning of April 21st.

Mbappe was sidelined for the last match due to a suspension. He was in the stands at the Bernabeu to watch his teammates beat Bilbao 1-0 thanks to a spectacular goal from Federico Valverde.

However, the appearance of the former PSG star was not welcomed by Real Madrid fans. There were loud boos in the Bernabeu stands when Mbappe's face appeared on the big screen.

Even in the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal last week, Mbappe was booed by Real Madrid fans. According to El Pais , Real Madrid supporters are frustrated with the performance of their star player.

Even after scoring 22 goals in La Liga this season, Mbappe faced backlash from home fans following two poor performances against Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals. The French star failed to score and couldn't make a significant impact in either leg. Many fans believe Mbappe is responsible for Real's poor results.

The last time Mbappe scored for Real Madrid was in the La Liga match against Leganes (a brace) on March 29th. These have been some of Mbappe's rare goals for Real Madrid in the past month. Including his national team appearances, Mbappe also failed to score during the March international break, when they played Croatia in the Nations League.

In addition to his suspension, Mbappe is also dealing with an ankle injury. Whether the striker will recover in time for the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 27th remains uncertain.

Real Madrid won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup this season. The Copa del Rey is Real's next title to aim for, as Barcelona are closing in on the La Liga title.
