Mbappe's lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, said PSG has yet to pay the French striker €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses. In September 2024, the Legal Committee of the Ligue 1 (LFP) ruled in Mbappe's favor and ordered PSG to pay the aforementioned amount. However, the French representative has yet to fulfill this obligation.
"To date, PSG has not fulfilled its contractual obligations," said Ms. Verheyden. "We are dealing with a club that does not respect the employment contract, does not respect the decisions made. We will take legal measures to protect Mbappe's rights."
Under UEFA regulations, clubs must meet a number of criteria to be granted a Champions League licence, including not owing wages to staff, including players. Mbappe's legal team insists that it was necessary to inform UEFA of PSG's debt situation.

Previously, the French Football Federation (FFF) rejected Mbappe's lawsuit, but this decision did not reduce the determination of the French striker. Mbappe's legal team is preparing more documents and is determined to claim rights from PSG, forcing the reigning Ligue 1 champion to take responsibility for the debts that the club is incurring.
Mbappe has not commented on the incident. He is expected to continue to start for Real Madrid in the match against Alaves in La Liga on April 13. The French star wants to focus on the matches as in the middle of next week, Mbappe and his teammates have a rematch with Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Mbappe scored after a classy free kick. In the early morning of March 30, Mbappe scored in Real Madrid's 3-2 victory over Leganes in round 29 of La Liga.
