According to L'Équipe , if Mbappé extended his contract with PSG for another season, he would receive 70 million euros in salary, a 20% increase compared to last season, along with 180 million euros in bonuses and other amounts related to image rights. However, in June 2023, Mbappe officially announced that he would not renew his contract with PSG and decided to leave Paris.

Currently, Mbappe receives a salary of 32 million euros per season at Real Madrid, the highest-paying team in Europe. In addition, he also received a signing bonus worth 100 million euros when joining this team. However, according to L'Équipe, if calculated on a 5-year contract at Real, Mbappe still cannot compare with the 250 million euros he could receive if he stayed at PSG for another season.

What's special is that Real Madrid made an exception for Mbappe regarding image rights. Normally, Real Madrid players retain 50% of the image rights, but with Mbappe, the ratio is 80-20 in his favor, an important condition that his mother, Fayza Lamari, who is also his agent, requested during the negotiation process.
