The Boeing C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft carrying equipment and special vehicles for President Biden's upcoming visit to Vietnam landed at Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi).
This afternoon, September 1, a US Air Force C-17 military transport aircraft landed at Noi Bai airport with many special equipment and vehicles to serve the upcoming visit to Vietnam of US President Joe Biden, scheduled to take place on September 10-11.

The C-17 Globemaster III is one of the main military transport aircraft of the US Air Force, known as the "workhorse", specializing in transporting vehicles serving the US President on official trips, including two Cadillacs nicknamed "The Beast".
Marines One is also carried by C-17 aircraft on official trips, in case the US President cannot travel by road from the airport to the work site.
Previously, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that US President Joe Biden is expected to visit Vietnam from September 10-11 at the invitation of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
"We believe that the visits by the two countries' senior leaders will further deepen the Vietnam-US relationship, bringing the bilateral relationship to stable, substantive and long-term development in all areas, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world," said Ms. Hang.
During previous visits of US Presidents to Vietnam, there were often many C-17 transport planes arriving about a week in advance to bring people, equipment, especially specialized vehicles to serve the main events of the US President.
A Chevrolet Suburban is pulled from the belly of the plane.
A Ford-branded intelligence vehicle was also brought to Vietnam. The vehicle carried US intelligence forces in direct contact with US surveillance units and local security forces providing protection along the route.
Other goods for the visit have also been shipped to Vietnam.
