ANTD.VN - In the fourth quarter of 2024, Masan recorded VND 691 billion in profit, an increase of 1,282% over the same period last year. By the end of 2024, MSN had completed nearly 200% of the base scenario profit plan, bringing in ~ VND 2,000 billion, nearly 4.8 times higher than in 2023. Contributing to this positive result is the sustainable growth of the retail consumer business segment.

Masan's branded consumer goods segment, Masan Consumer (Stock code: MCH), continues to record positive results throughout 2024. MCH's revenue in the fourth quarter of 2024 and 2024 reached VND8,942 billion and VND30,897 billion, respectively, up 5.3% and 9.4% year-on-year. Notably, in 2024, MCH improved its NPAT Post-MI margin to 25.3%. Full-year gross profit margin reached 46.6%, up 70 basis points compared to 2023, thanks to the premiumization strategy in the Convenience Food category, better combination of higher margin products and pricing strategy in key categories.

Looking ahead to 2025, MCH targets double-digit revenue growth of 10% to 15%, reaching VND33,500 billion to VND35,500 billion, respectively. MCH continues to implement a premiumization strategy in the Spices and Convenience Foods industries. Innovations in the Convenience Foods industry will help the company capture growth in out-of-home consumption trends. In addition, MCH plans to complete its listing on HOSE to optimize shareholder value.
“We believe that Masan Consumer is on track to grow stronger than ever and expect revenue growth in the first quarter of 2025 to reach 10-15% thanks to strong consumer demand,” an MCH representative shared in a recent meeting with investors.

MCH will further accelerate its Go Global strategy in 2025, expecting to achieve 20% or more growth by focusing on key markets such as the US, Korea, Japan and the EU with its portfolio of spices, convenience foods and instant coffee.
WinCommerce Accelerates Network Expansion in 2025 to Achieve Positive Profit for the Full Year 2024
For Masan’s retail segment, WinCommerce (“WCM”) achieved revenue growth of 11.8% and 9.7% YoY in Q4 2024 and 2024, with revenue reaching VND8,557 billion and VND32,961 billion, respectively, across the entire network. Q4 results continued to be positively driven by new store models, WIN (serving urban shoppers) and WinMart+ Rural (serving rural shoppers), with LFL growth of 10.4% and 12.5% YoY, respectively. WCM recorded positive NPAT Pre-MI of VND209 billion in Q4 2024, marking its second consecutive quarter of positive profit. Notably, WCM has delivered positive NPAT for the full year of 2024.
As of December 2024, WCM operated 3,828 WCM stores, opening 95 new stores since Q3 2024. New store openings have accelerated again due to sustainable LFL growth momentum and successful expansion of new store formats, enabling WCM to fully serve the diverse needs of consumers.

In 2025, WCM is expected to achieve net revenue of VND35,600 billion to VND36,900 billion, growing from 8% to 14% year-on-year and achieving positive profit after tax for the whole year. This will be driven by the expansion of the store network, accelerating LFL revenue growth.
In a recent meeting with investors, a representative of Masan said that the group will accelerate the expansion of its network in 2025. Accordingly, in the highest scenario, the number of newly opened stores is expected to reach 1,000 stores. The number of new stores opened in the first quarter of 2025 is expected to be 2/3 of the whole year of 2024. The WIN Membership Program will be innovated with added value for consumers and partners.
Masan MEATLife reaches positive profit milestone for the whole year 2024
Throughout the year, thanks to actively implementing a strategy focusing on processed meat, implementing product innovation, and cooperating with WinCommerce, Masan's branded meat segment, Masan MEATLife (“MML”) has continuously brought in many positive numbers.
Specifically, in Q4 2024, MML's revenue increased by 24% and 9.5% year-on-year, reaching VND2,204 billion and VND7,650 billion in Q4 2024 and 2024, respectively. NPAT-Pre-MI reached VND85 billion and VND25 billion in Q4 2024 and 2024, respectively. This is the second consecutive quarter that MML has achieved positive NPAT Pre-MI. Notably, MML has recorded positive profit after tax for the whole year of 2024.
Accordingly, in 2024, MML's processed meat business will exceed VND200 billion in monthly revenue, accounting for 34.6% of MML's revenue in 2024 compared to 32.9% in 2023. New products will contribute VND538 billion in revenue in 2024. The combination with WCM continues to bring positive results for MML, with the fresh pork segment recording daily sales per WCM store increasing by 26% year-on-year.

Regarding the 2025 plan, MML is expected to bring in revenue of VND8,250 billion to VND8,749 billion, growing from 8% to 14% over the same period. The company continues its journey of continuous transformation to become a meat processing company, cooperating more deeply with WinCommerce. Excluding the farm segment, MML aims for a growth target of 10%-18% in 2025.
In 2025, according to information from the enterprise, Masan expects to achieve Pre-MI NPAT from VND4,875 billion to VND6,500 billion, growing from 14% to 52% compared to VND4,272 billion in 2024. Masan will further reduce financial leverage to improve its balance sheet. The company will reduce its ownership in non-core segments after selling HC Starck to simplify the group structure and become a more focused retail consumer platform.
