Meeting Nguyen Duc Hai, Secretary of the Van Canh Commune Youth Union in the middle of a busy afternoon, he pointed to the pile of bags piled up at the sewing factory and chatted: “I am busy making orders to deliver to customers. Hopefully these bags will be chosen by many young people because they are very meaningful for the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025)”.

The bags are made from environmentally friendly fabric with the main colors of the national flag, the image of Uncle Ho, the map of Vietnam and the words "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom"...

Holding the bag, Mr. Hai shared that when he saw the whole country excitedly looking forward to the victory day, the day marking the unification of the country, Mr. Hai thought he had to do something to contribute to the important holiday of the nation. The image of the red flag with yellow star of the nation urged him and he came up with the idea for the bag.

The day he came up with the idea, Mr. Hai went to Thanh Cuong Shoe Fabric Company Limited, a local manufacturing unit, to work together to create the product and very quickly, the two sides agreed on a program to start production immediately.

Although it has only been posted on the Facebook page of Van Canh Commune Youth Union and some personal Facebook pages of union members and youth in the commune for a few days, a large number of people have already placed orders.

“The bag has the image of the country, so it evokes national pride in everyone. A portion of the profits from selling the bag will be donated to charity for children in difficult circumstances. In addition to being an everyday item, the bag also reminds everyone to always think about gratitude and solidarity. Van Canh Commune Youth Union hopes that young people will spread humanistic values ​​and contribute to building a better community,” said Mr. Tran Duc Hai.

This is just one of the latest activities of Van Canh Commune Youth Union Secretary Tran Duc Hai with the community. Previously, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, Mr. Hai and other artisans created new and unique lanterns by skillfully "dressing" them with Kim Hoang paintings.

Or during the Lunar New Year, Van Canh Commune Youth Union also launched the collection "Kim Hoang Red Lucky Money - Spring At Ty 2025". On the red envelope is also an image inspired by the Kim Hoang folk painting line, reviving the spiritual values ​​of the homeland... To revive the Kim Hoang painting line, it is necessary to spread and contribute from the local young generation. With that in mind, Mr. Hai wants to incorporate this painting line into many products to increase promotion in the community.

“In 2024, I and the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Van Canh commune sold more than 500 lanterns and key chains printed with Kim Hoang red paintings; the commune's Youth Union spent half of the profits to support people in the provinces affected by storm No. 3 in 2024,” said Mr. Hai.

Contribute youth

In addition to the above contributions, Secretary of the Van Canh Commune Youth Union Tran Duc Hai has always completed all assigned tasks well and actively and effectively participated in local work. Notably, he and the union members and youths participated in digital technology groups. Regardless of day or night, they went to each house to support and guide cadres and people in using the Union Member Data Management software, the Vietnam Youth application, the Electronic Party Member Handbook software, the VneID application, online public services... These activities mostly took place in the evening and often on Saturdays and Sundays, but the union members were always enthusiastic, dedicated, and closely involved in their work..., which was highly appreciated by the people.

To build a green and clean countryside, in 2024, Mr. Hai also planned and launched 8 "Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday" campaigns to 100% of Youth Union branches in the whole commune, organized volunteer activities to participate in building urban civilization, carry out youth projects and tasks such as launching a general environmental cleaning campaign, removing illegal classified ads, cleaning the environment on roads managed by youth...

Promoting the spirit of "Where there is a need, there are youth, where there is difficulty, there are youth" and implementing the program of the Central Youth Union launching the movement "For community life", he and the Van Canh Commune Youth Union actively participated in the Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods Festival 2024, responding to the campaign "Vietnamese People Prioritize Using Vietnamese Goods" organized by Hoai Duc District Youth Union...

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025), Mr. Tran Duc Hai was honored to be honored as an outstanding young party member of the Capital in 2024.
