Accordingly, the Team screened films at 4 military units stationed in the province: Battalion 303, Regiment 584, Provincial Military Command; Company 2, Ea Sup District Military Command; Special Forces Brigade 198 (Special Forces) - stationed in Hoa Dong Commune (Krong Pac District) and Company 5, Buon Don District Military Command.

The films screened this time include: documentary "Acupuncture Points of the Central Highlands" and feature film "The Scent of Burning Grass". Of which, the documentary "Acupuncture Points of the Central Highlands" produced by the People's Army Cinema in 2020, depicts the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising with the highlight being the Buon Ma Thuot Campaign. The battle opened on March 10, 1975 and ended on March 11, 1975, completely liberating Buon Ma Thuot town. The feature film "The Scent of Burning Grass" produced by the Vietnam Feature Film Studio in 2012, was based on the diary "Forever 20" by Martyr Nguyen Van Thac. The main setting of the film is the "Red Summer" event with the battle to protect Quang Tri ancient citadel in 1972...

The Film Projection Team went to the site to install the big screen.

To best serve the audience, from the afternoon, members of the Film Projection Team were present at the unit to research the location for the big screen installation. Each person had a job, and each quickly completed their task well. And with the help of officers and soldiers at the units, the big screen was set up and ready to serve the entertainment needs of the soldiers.

Historical films and feature films about war have left in the minds of every officer and soldier an emotion mixed with pride about the time when "Splitting Truong Son to save the country/With hearts filled with hope for the future!"... of our ancestors' generation" - Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Duong, Political Commissar of Battalion 303.

At Battalion 303, Regiment 584, although it was not yet 7:00 p.m. (the movie's starting time), the unit's stadium was already full of officers and soldiers, their faces clearly showing excitement and joy at seeing a movie on the big screen for the first time.

New recruit Vo Van Phuong (Platoon 2, Company 5) expressed: "Through the films, we feel the fierceness of war. From there, we are even more proud of the heroic history of the nation and cherish the value of peace."

And the new recruit Pham Duy Tan (Platoon 6, Company 6) shared: “The documentary “Acupuncture Points of the Central Highlands” gave us an overview of the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising with the main highlight being the Buon Ma Thuot Campaign. That is choosing the direction of attack, the art of deception to create a secret and unexpected position, attacking to divide and maintain the initiative. The feature film “The Scent of Burning Grass” left me with many emotions such as the scene of the whole company swimming shirtless across the Thach Han River; the scene of a soldier leaning against the trench with 3 dead comrades around him; in the middle of the battlefield, a soldier meets his fellow countrymen...”.

Officers and soldiers of Battalion 303, Regiment 584, Provincial Military Command attentively watched the film.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Duong, Political Commissar of Battalion 303, during the three months of military training, newly enlisted soldiers must spend time studying and training on the training ground, and participate in group activities at night, with little contact with electronic devices. Therefore, when they are able to watch a movie together in the unit with their comrades and teammates, everyone is excited and enthusiastic, so they quickly complete all their daytime tasks and are ready to "dress up" to go see a movie.

The screening of films contributes to improving the spiritual and cultural life of soldiers after hours of hard training on the training ground; at the same time, it propagates and educates about the tradition of patriotism, promotes revolutionary heroism, arouses national pride in the younger generation, thereby strengthening confidence, fostering ideology, encouraging officers and soldiers to actively study, cultivate, and train to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
