Man United set a record for most losses in the Premier League

Coach Ruben Amorim and his team have set a new record in Man United history, but it is not something to be proud of.

On the evening of April 20 (Vietnam time), Man United was defeated 0-1 by Wolverhampton in round 33 of the Premier League. This was the "Red Devils"' third loss in the last four rounds.

This result is not too surprising because Man United has run out of motivation to compete. Despite playing very badly, the "Red Devils" still have enough points needed to avoid relegation.

On the other hand, Man United still has the Europa League to hope for. It is understandable that coach Ruben Amorim fielded a squad with many reserve players, while keeping Bruno Fernandes, Dalot, Maguire, and Yoro on the bench.

The result was a very lackluster performance by the "Red Devils". They created a number of scoring opportunities but Hojlund missed them all. In the 77th minute, Sarabia scored the only goal of the match for Wolverhampton.

Although no longer focusing on the Premier League, coach Ruben Amorim and his team still made home fans shake their heads in disappointment when setting a new record for the number of losses the team has suffered in a season in the Premier League.

After 33 rounds this season, Man United has lost 15 matches. This number has surpassed the record of 14 losses of last season. In the history of more than 30 years participating in the Premier League (since the tournament was renamed in 1992), Man United has never lost so many matches.

Under Sir Alex, Man United's number of losses in a Premier League season stopped at 9. But since he retired, there have been 6 seasons in which Man United lost 10 or more matches in the domestic league.

In the same match, Chelsea came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1 in a dramatic fashion. They conceded a goal in the 20th minute and were deadlocked for most of the match.

But the last 10 minutes exploded, with 2 goals from George (minute 83) and Neto (minute 90+3) helping Chelsea make an impressive comeback. This victory helped them have 57 points, temporarily surpassing Nottingham Forest (not yet played round 33) to climb to 5th place.
