After three days of thrilling competition, the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, concluded with impressive results.
On March 24th, the final day of the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship Grand Prix of Binh Dinh took place at Thi Nai Lagoon (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province). 55 riders from 26 countries competed in the Motorbike 2 and Motorbike 3 races to determine the champions of the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh. Motorbike 2 had a time limit of 17 minutes plus 1 lap to determine the winner. The finishing order of Motorbike 2 determined the starting order of Motorbike 3.

Accordingly, the top 1-5 are in starting group 1; top 6-15 in starting group 2; and top 16 onwards in starting group 3. Starting groups 1, 2, and 3 respectively have the advantage of starting first, second, and third. At 2 PM on March 24th, the female riders in the Ski Ladies category entered the decisive race – Moto 3. On the first day of competition, while Jasmiin secured pole position and won Moto 1, Jessica maintained her strong performance in Moto 2. However, in Moto 3, Jessica Chavanne experienced a mechanical problem, causing her to fall and withdraw from the race. 23-year-old Jasmiin was honored with the top spot in the Ski Ladies category of this year's Grand Prix of Binh Dinh. The male riders then competed in the Ski Division. The race was incredibly exciting, with the machines gliding effortlessly across the waves. Sharing his thoughts after his impressive performance, the Belgian rider said: “I am very happy to have won three consecutive races to secure this victory. I still need to try harder for the next races because everyone is working hard every day, and so am I. My competitors are my motivation to race as fast as possible to finish in first place.” The Freestyle category was a battle between three riders: Roberto Mariani (Italy), Rashid Al Mulla (Saudi Arabia), and Paulo Nunes (Portugal). “Winning would be great, but for me, the most important thing is the racing experience because that's my passion. I want to inspire all the young people who are passionate about this sport, and especially my son. Even at my age, I can still win championships, so we shouldn't give up on our dreams,” Roberto Mariani shared. The Ski Ladies GP1 and Ski Division GP1 categories each have three races. For Runabout GP1, the second motorcycle race will determine the champion. According to the organizers, after the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh, the UIM-ABP World Championship will continue its quest for the 2024 champion at the following locations: EUROPE (May 31 – June 2); Grand Prix of Italy (June 21 – June 23); EUROPE (July 1 – July 4); Grand Prix of Indonesia (November 23 – November 24).
