The event 'Colors of Heritage' was recently held, introducing the graceful, elegant and equally splendid beauty of traditional Vietnamese and Ukrainian costumes.
On the evening of February 21, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women's Museum in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine in Vietnam organized the event "Colors of Heritage" showcasing the collection of traditional Ao Dai and embroidered costumes by Meritorious Artist Le Thi Lan Huong and Ukrainian designer Oksana Polonets.

Attending the event were Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Oleksandr Gaman, Ambassador of Ukraine to Vietnam; representatives of domestic and international enterprises and organizations; embassies and diplomatic missions in Vietnam and central and local press agencies.
The event “Colors of Heritage” showcases the graceful, flowing, and equally splendid beauty of Vietnamese and Ukrainian traditional costumes with interesting similarities in the use of sophisticated hand embroidery techniques, long practiced in the community, demonstrated by professional models.
Two collections presented at the event "Heritage Colors" include: Ao Dai collection named "Miraculous Halo" by designer Le Thi Lan Huong and "Ukrainian Colors" by designer Oksana Polonets.

The collection "Micro-tone Halo" includes 30 Ao Dai designs for women and children with themes: Village Gate; Dong Ho Painting; Ethnic children in the highlands... inspired by the majestic beauty of terraced fields and the image of people living peacefully and happily in the clouds in Vietnam.
The beautiful images like paintings are hand-embroidered, elaborately and delicately on each Ao Dai, creating the pinnacle of noble fashion art. The collection is designed on silk and green hemp fibers, which are considered treasures from heaven.
Meritorious Artist Le Thi Lan Huong wants to send a message of gratitude to the great Mother Nature who has created and bestowed wonderful things on the Earth through this collection.
Meanwhile, the collection "Colors of Ukraine" by designer Oksana Polonets includes 32 women's outfits, ranging from everyday wear, family wear to evening wear and wedding wear. It is a unique combination of modern beauty and national features, of tradition and modernity.
Made from linen, silk, hemp and rami, the collection showcases the ancient Ukrainian women's exquisite embroidery techniques with colorful geometric and floral motifs passed down from generation to generation, reimagined and reinterpreted in a modern style.

Within the framework of the event, guests also visited the photo exhibition "Colors of Heritage" about the beauty of traditional embroidered costumes from different regions of Ukraine and listened to the two designers share about their inspiration in creating and the journey to honor the traditional cultural heritage values of the nation.
