Through each trip over the past 3 years, "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" has sown more love and trust from artists for this humane and practical program.
Musician Pham Minh Tuan believes that "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" is a program with extremely practical meaning when it timely shares and helps artists who are in difficulty and misfortune. Many artists who have received support gifts from "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" are role models for the younger generation to learn from.
No matter how far, I will find you
For over 3 years, "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" has visited the homes of many artists in difficult circumstances, whether in Ho Chi Minh City or anywhere else in the country.
Not long ago, artist Vu Quang in Vinh Long suffered from severe rheumatism and myositis. Immediately after, the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" visited and gave gifts to support artist Vu Quang, helping him have more spirit and conditions to treat his illness.
People's Artist Thao Van from Tay Do Theater (Can Tho City) is retired and lives frugally with a small pension. Receiving support from "Mai Vang Nhan Ai", she was moved: "The program has created more joy and motivation for artists after retirement. When facing difficulties in life, we have received practical care".

The same goes for two Ca Tru artists, Ms. Duong Thi Diem (residing in Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Dong (residing in Quang Trung commune, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province). Ms. Diem has been singing Ca Tru for more than 30 years and is one of the most dedicated artists who has made many contributions to this art form. As for Ms. Dong, despite her old age, she still participates in Ca Tru performances. These two artists are very grateful for the kindness of the organizers of the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program.
Meeting us recently, Meritorious Artist Ngoc Khanh said that 12 opera artists in the provinces and cities of Can Tho, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Bac Lieu who received support from "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" were very heartwarming. Some of them have returned to the stage or worked behind the scenes.
According to Mr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the newspaper has had the traditional Mai Vang Award which has been held continuously for 28 years. For more than 3 years, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper has also implemented the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" (now "Mai Vang Tri An") with the sponsorship of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank.
The program visited and presented gifts to many artists across the country. They are all people who have made many contributions to the country's culture and arts. For artists, artisans, writers, poets, painters, sculptors, etc. in many provinces and cities facing difficulties, the program's support is a great gift, even though the amount may not be much, and they are all very grateful.
Touched, grateful
In January 2020, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Mai Vang Award, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper decided to launch the "Mai Vang Charity" program to join readers and philanthropists in taking care of the lives of artists with difficult family circumstances, illness, and need of help. Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank was the first unit to support the program with an amount of 1 billion VND.
According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Tam - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank - the fact that this unit accompanies the Newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong is to take practical and meaningful actions, contributing to connecting affection, spreading the beauty of mutual love in the community, first of all with artists.
"We clearly feel the humane stories of artists who are in their twilight years. Many people, despite living in difficult circumstances and illness, are still generous in passing on their experiences to the younger generation. This spread has reminded many people - including artists who won the Mai Vang Award from public votes - to appreciate what they have and live more responsibly towards the community," said Mr. Tran Ngoc Tam.
People's Artist Kim Cuong, one of two people to receive the "Lifetime Artist for the Community" award from the Lao Dong Newspaper so far, expressed: "The artists of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general are grateful for the timely support of the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program. Over the past 3 years, this humanitarian activity has shown that the Lao Dong Newspaper has always paid timely attention to the lives of veteran artists in many fields. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely affected the economy, making many people's lives very difficult. This joint effort and care has warmed the hearts of artists."
Meanwhile, Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien said that the 7 people still living at the Ho Chi Minh City Artists Nursing Home will soon be moved to a new home at the Thi Nghe Nursing Home under the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the city. For a long time, doctors have not allowed her to participate in performances for fear of affecting her health. Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien has been away from the stage lights for a long time, so she is very sad and misses the audience and colleagues.
"Since receiving support from "Mai Vang Nhan Ai", I have been very touched and feel more motivated to live a happier and healthier life. I hope that the "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" program will continue to grow and take more care of veteran artists" - Meritorious Artist Dieu Hien confided...
Through each trip over the past 3 years, the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" has sown more love and trust. Many artists who are contributing to the arts said they will join hands with this meaningful activity.
According to People's Artist Le Thuy - the recipient of the "Lifetime Artist for the Community" award in 2022, "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" is highly appreciated by artists and writers and is considered a very meaningful program, connecting the community, creating a great spread in social life.
"The program has visited and supported many elderly, sick, and disadvantaged artists and given them more energy to continue passing on their profession. This work is very meaningful because we join hands to nurture and build a new generation of artists" - People's Artist Le Thuy acknowledged.
According to People's Artist Kim Cuong, over the past 28 years, Mai Vang has become a prestigious award in the field of culture and arts, fulfilling its responsibility as a bridge between artists and the public.

"From the Golden Apricot Award, it was extended to "Golden Apricot for Love" - now "Golden Apricot for Gratitude", I am very grateful and touched by the beautiful images of the program" - People's Artist Kim Cuong confided.
On the occasion of Tet Quy Mao 2023, after 3 years of implementation, the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" temporarily closed phase 1, opening phase 2 called "Mai Vang Tri An".
In addition to the artists who are cared for and given gifts, "Mai Vang Tri An" also targets a broader audience, including teachers, scientists, intellectuals, and those who have made many contributions to society... "Mai Vang Tri An" will continue the journey of connecting affection with the strong imprint of the Lao Dong Newspaper; it is a meaningful program that accompanies functional agencies to support and care for the lives of artists and intellectuals nationwide.
