Lindsey Nicole (25 years old, USA) posted on social network X a photo of herself wearing a floral dress that her boss "blew the whistle" on. She attached the status: "My boss told me to 'cover up' more carefully, because the company now has a male employee". This request surprised Lindsey. She described the dress as knee-length, with short sleeves, not revealing at all. The post quickly went viral with more than 2 million views and thousands of mixed comments.

Lindsey's office had previously been all-female. But since the addition of male colleagues, she was told not to wear the dress to work. Lindsey said she had worn the dress for several weeks since starting work in February, and had never had any problems. "My company's policy is casual office attire. What's wrong with this dress?"

Lindsey's floral dress was knee-length and had half-length sleeves, and was generally modest. Many people supported Lindsey, calling her boss's request "sexist" and "insensitive." Some even expressed outrage on her behalf.

However, some people think the dress is not suitable for office wear because it shows too much of her chest. Others think Lindsey is being treated unfairly because of her bust size. The debate becomes complicated when people do not agree on the definition of "informal office wear" for women.

Not stopping at discussing office attire, the social media debate quickly turned to Lindsey's appearance.

In response to the rude comments about her body, Lindsey had to speak up in another post: "The funniest thing is that people think I'm upset about being called 'fat'. I am fat! It's true! I'm not hurt! I'm laughing at all those comments!".
