Not long ago, researcher Ross Young stated that shipments of prototype displays for the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro would begin in the third quarter, and the new MacBook models are expected to be launched later this year.

Mark Gurman (a Bloomberg journalist) also revealed that Apple is accelerating the development of the next-generation M4 chip. This chip is expected to be featured in Macs launching later this year and is designed to excel in AI processing capabilities.
Some sources indicate that this month's Mac updates are considered more significant than those from a year ago. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will offer M4 Pro and M4 Max chip options. The new processor will likely still be manufactured using the 3nm process but will offer more powerful performance than the M4 chip in the iPad Pro released in May.
Apple typically introduces standard-end chips first on the MacBook Air or iPad Pro, and then releases higher-end chips for the Pro line.
In addition, the Mac mini is also predicted to launch in October with a new design compared to the 2010 version. This could also be the biggest highlight of the upcoming event. It is said to be thinner and smaller, almost like the Apple TV. Two USB-C ports are integrated on the front, similar to a miniature version of the Mac Studio.
