While the audience was enjoying the emotions in the scenes of the movie, the lights suddenly turned on and the crew of the movie "Lat Mat 6 - The fateful ticket" appeared to greet the audience. Before that, the entire crew was surrounded by the audience from the ground floor to the 5th floor of the supermarket to take pictures, shake hands and give gifts. "Ly Hai's sudden appearance interrupted the audience, I hope you understand. Today, Ly Hai, Minh Ha and the crew are here to be closer to the audience and would like to say thank you, as well as express gratitude to you, the uncles, aunts and brothers who came and supported the movie. Once again, thank you and hope that with this support, there will be another Lat Mat 7 to serve the audience" - Ly Hai opened. The entire packed theater applauded in unison, and gave endless compliments.
Also accompanying them were the child actors – Ly Hai’s children – who moved the audience when she went to each row of seats to thank the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters who loved and supported the film. The film crew also organized small games to give gifts with cute cloth bags, t-shirts and even books to thank the audience. Along with that, the audience’s affection was also reciprocated with Phan Thiet’s specialties for the crew members.
As a director, producer Ly Hai has created a setting for the Mekong Delta, especially the traditional Chieu craft village, which has been lost. Ly Hai himself, through the film, also wants to convey a more humane message, when he has invested funds to restore the craft village scene with all the stages of making mats for over a hundred years. With respect for traditional cultural values, thereby arousing the responsibility of preserving them for the younger generation.
When asked about the reason for restoring the traditional craft village for the movie, Ly Hai shared: "Young people today can be said to have a modern tendency, especially those born around 2000 will not know how the mat is woven, what color it is, but through short films, people will learn, remember, for adults can reminisce about the past, about the old Dinh Yen mat village (Dong Thap) that used to make tens of thousands of mats to go everywhere so that young people can understand the culture of the mat weaving profession in the past".
Ly Hai also shared: “In fact, the world cinema has brought traditional cultural values that people have done for a long time, specifically in Asia, Korea has been ahead by 20 years, they have brought the characteristics of culinary culture, landscape, fashion culture... to the whole world. For cinema to spread quickly, of course one film cannot say it all, but hopefully after Lat mat 6 there will be many other films, other directors join hands to not only introduce simple cultural values, but also promote tourism of Vietnam in general, or regions in particular to a large number of tourists”.
When watching the film, the audience will experience many emotions, and will also see Ly Hai's willingness to spend and different thinking reflected in his choice of setting. In particular, the crew built a row of motels and a market selling mats to serve some filming scenes. This is a unique feature, a unique color, a unique quality that Ly Hai himself wants to bring to the audience, contrary to the majority of Vietnamese films that are investing in luxurious, expensive settings. As for the audience, they also have the opportunity to return to the countryside of the West with simple river scenes and villagers working hard.
The meeting was quick, the whole crew spent a little time taking pictures and interacting with the audience in the 3-theater cluster at Cinema Lotte Phan Thiet. However, it was the closeness and gentleness of the director and producer couple Ly Hai and Minh Ha and the cast that created a warm and intimate exchange, with no distance between the famous artists and the audience.
Previously, the film crew also showed gratitude to the people with free screenings at the location where the film crew started filming, as a thank you for the help during the film making process. This is a plus point for the film crew of Lat Mat 6 - Tac Ve Dinh Menh, which no film, director or producer has dared to do before. That is why the screenings of "Lat Mat 6 - Tac Ve Dinh Menh" are almost sold out, it is understandable that the audience has to book 1 week in advance to be able to watch the film.
