Director Ly Hai expressed his desire to bring Vietnamese cinema and his homeland's culture to international audiences. Therefore, from "Lat mat 3" onwards, when writing the script, he focused on bringing the characteristics of Vietnamese culture and people into the film with the hope that when his film has the opportunity to be shown abroad, he can introduce images of the country and people of Vietnam to friends around the world.
He initially realized his dream of bringing Vietnamese cinema far and wide when "Lat mat 4" was released in theaters and sold tickets in the US and Australia. This is something Ly Hai is very happy about!
"Up to now, when the series "Lat mat" is widely shown globally, I feel even happier because I have fulfilled the dream that I have cherished after many years of effort. I think, this is not only my dream but also the dream of all filmmakers, producers, and directors" - Ly Hai expressed.
Some beautiful Vietnamese landscapes have appeared in the series "Flip Side": Ngoc Island Lake, Dray Nur waterfall, Dray Sap, Elephant Mountain, Mai waterfall, Chau Doc stilt house, Can Tho floating market, Dinh Yen mat village...
In particular, in "Flip Side 6: The Fateful Ticket", the film crew recreated the mat village in Dinh Yen commune and the custom of selling mats at night at the "Ghost Market" in Dinh Yen.
Ly Hai was moved when sharing about his passion, which has contributed to the community and is the first step to help Vietnamese landmarks initially reach audiences around the world.

"I am very happy because after "Lat mat 6" was released, many people were interested and wanted to visit. The State has decided to invest and develop tourism in Dinh Yen commune. In addition to restoring the village and repairing Dinh Yen communal house, the locality also recreated some scenes in the film for tourists to visit. I feel very happy that I can contribute a small part to the community. I hope that the cultural beauty of the country and people of Vietnam will also attract not only domestic but also international tourists" - Ly Hai confided.
