Ly Hai Minh Ha casting for the movie Lat mat 8 until nearly 2am

On October 13 and 14, director Ly Hai and producer Minh Ha held a casting for part 8 of the "Flip Side" series. The atmosphere at the casting location was extremely bustling with the participation of many candidates, from professional to amateur actors from all over the country.

The jury team was present early to welcome the contestants to attend the offline Casting.

Due to the unexpected enthusiastic support from the contestants from online submission to the casting, director Ly Hai decided to extend the show for another day. Although it lasted for 20 hours and ended at 1:30 a.m., many contestants still stayed until the last minute to perform passionately and energetically. This made the U60 director extremely emotional: "Ly Hai believes that anyone who is passionate, determined and serious about the profession has the opportunity to become a movie actor."

This diversity makes the casting session even more attractive and dramatic. Producer Minh Ha shared: “All of the contestants who passed the online casting have their own unique characteristics. Cinema not only requires professionalism but also requires the simplicity of acting as if they are not acting. We appreciate the efforts and precious time you have spent on the casting session and we hope that you will feel that this is a playground for you to unleash your creativity and try your best rather than the pressure of competition. In order to develop further, any actor, including professionals, when working in the entertainment industry, must constantly learn. And these casting sessions are not only for contestants to express themselves but also open up an opportunity for all of you who have talent but have not yet shone.”

"Flip Side 8" attracts more than 5,000 online and offline castings

The creative acting and unexpected improvisation of the casting participants inspired Ly Hai and the entire crew throughout the casting session. Ly Hai sincerely shared: “This is the first time in the "Flip Side" franchise that the casting crew worked until 1:30 am but still felt full of energy. Thank you all for creating a very youthful, creative, and passionate energy even though it was very late at night. I also apologize to everyone for making everyone wait so long, 5-7 hours to be able to cast. Because the number of people was larger than expected, but I had to cast carefully and could not do it carelessly, I hope our crew will have the opportunity to accompany you in "Flip Side 8"".

"Flip Side 8" will officially start filming in December 2024. The film is expected to be released on April 30, 2025.
