“It’s about saving the environment!” Chalamet said when asked about his decision to ride an electric bike to the premiere of a big movie like A Complete Unknown . The actor later admitted that it was all about avoiding traffic. He jumped on his bike instead of taking a car because he wanted to get to the premiere on time.

The actor's promotional tour was filled with memorable moments. He appeared as a co-host on ESPN's College Game Day in December 2024, then caused a social media frenzy when he sported a blond hairstyle that recreated one of Bob Dylan's most controversial looks.

Variety film critic Owen Gleiberman called A Complete Unknown one of the best films of 2024 and praised the actor in his review. He wrote: "Chalamet sings nasally and slightly choked, his voice as solid as a rock... And at that moment, he truly becomes Bob Dylan. The voice, the directness, the spiritual harshness melt into something lyrical. It's all there."
