Luu decided to bring Mrs. Tinh to live with him.
The review of episode 21 of "Life Is Still Beautiful," which aired on the evening of May 29th, revealed a scene where Bat (Tuan Anh) continues to extort money from Mrs. Tinh after having previously made her faint. While the two sides are struggling, Luu (Meritorious Artist Hoang Hai) and Luyen (Thanh Huong) appear to intervene.
When Luu and Luyen visited Mrs. Tinh, they discovered that Bat was extorting money from her.
Furious at her younger brother's attitude and behavior, Luyen slapped Bat, accusing Mrs. Tinh (Meritorious Artist Thanh Quy) of covering for Bat. Receiving a painful slap from his sister, Bat retorted, "You gave me a meal and then put laxatives in my newspaper, and now you're hitting me?"
Liu angrily grabbed Bat by the collar, pointing at his face and saying, "Anyone can beat up a piece of trash like you, let alone me."
Seeing the tense atmosphere, Mrs. Tinh quickly intervened, telling Luu not to hit Bat anymore. Bat still defiantly challenged her, "Just let them see if these two can eat this guy alive."
Bat was slapped by Luyen for treating Mrs. Tinh badly.
Seeing Mrs. Tinh suffering because she was taking in Bat and being criticized by Luyen, Luu said to Luyen: "What are you going to do now? I said I could do it, and I can do it. I will take the old woman back to my house. I've already kicked Dien out of the house."
In another development, Luyen tries to calm Hoa (Anh Tho) down after discovering the relationship between Nga (Ha Dan) and Thach (Viet Hoang). Seeing Hoa worried that her daughter made a foolish choice by selecting a boyfriend with "no future," Luyen comforts her: "I think Thach has a very promising future. His father is like that, he lives in this neighborhood, but look, there's no one else who can compare to him. Don't worry, when you're older, you'll be able to rely on him."
Ms. Hoa pouted, criticizing Luyen for only thinking that far. So many graduates end up working as motorbike taxi drivers or delivery drivers for her flower shop. "Even if she's doing well, what about her father? Not to mention her mother disappeared ages ago, and now she's suddenly back here, getting involved in all sorts of family ties. How could my daughter possibly carry that burden?" Ms. Hoa said.
Ms. Hoa is worried about her daughter for choosing someone who "has no future."
Thach was threatened by gangsters.
Also in episode 25 of "Life Is Still Beautiful," after having to borrow money at high interest rates to pay for a lost watch, Thach received a debt collection message from gangsters. They threatened: "Don't make us come all the way to your school!"
When Nga came to check on Thach, he was only fearful, looking around nervously for fear that gangsters would endanger Nga and pressure him to repay the debt.
Thach was worried because gangsters were demanding payment of a debt.
Will Thach's high-interest loan be exposed? Will Luyen reconsider taking care of Mrs. Tinh now that Luu is determined to bring her home? The answers will be revealed in "Life Is Still Beautiful" episode 25, airing on VTV3 on the evening of May 29th.
