BTO-The travel platform Agoda has just announced the list of “Vietnam's New Horizons” which summarizes emerging destinations that are attracting increasing attention from domestic and foreign tourists. Among them, Phu Quy - an island with beautiful beaches, pristine nature, and cozy homestays, has recorded a 180% increase in searches compared to the same period last year.

Local statistics also show that in the first 9 months of this year, Phu Quy welcomed nearly 150,000 tourists (an increase of more than 61,000 compared to the same period last year), including more than 2,200 foreign visitors. The Phan Thiet - Phu Quy transport route has 5 high-speed boats (capacity of 250-600 passengers) operating stably and safely, with daily trips to Phu Quy and Phan Thiet, meeting the travel needs and shortening the time for tourists. The island has 150 accommodation establishments, with 650 rooms, and the homestay model is strongly developing. Tourism services such as motorbike rental, dining, Sup board, scuba diving, etc. have developed to meet the entertainment needs of visitors. Tourism activities take place safely and stably, without the phenomenon of overcharging or soliciting tourists, and environmental hygiene is guaranteed.

In addition to the good impressions of this island, tourists who have been to Phu Quy all hope that Phu Quy will try to maintain its green, clean, beautiful, safe, and friendly image. Because the lesson of “overheated” development of the “pearl island” Phu Quoc is still there.
