On May 3, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province said that on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary and April 30-May 1, there is a 5-day long break, the weather is hot so the demand for travel, entertainment and relaxation on the beach route increases.
New highway stimulates tourism
Binh Thuan has many favorable factors to attract tourists, now the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway opened to traffic right on the occasion of April 30th, contributing to the increase in the number of tourists coming to Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan for the holiday. Before the holiday, according to records, accommodation establishments located on the key route Ham Tien - Mui Ne and the South Phan Thiet area were all fully booked for nearly a month.
Particularly, Phu Quy island district (about 110 km from Phan Thiet city) - an emerging destination chosen by many young people to explore and check-in - has a record number of visitors this year. During the first 3 days of the holiday, the situation of tourists "braving" the sun, lining up to take photos is not too strange.

According to a report from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan, the majority of visitors to Binh Thuan are domestic visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Hanoi, Lam Dong, etc. Visitors are mainly families, groups of friends and individual guests, traveling by personal vehicles.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province assessed that the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet expressway (connecting with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway) was officially inaugurated and put into operation on April 29, along with a series of exciting activities throughout the National Tourism Year, making Binh Thuan's tourism industry more vibrant. That is also the reason why the number of tourists coming to Binh Thuan for the holidays this year has doubled compared to 2022.
With the highway put into operation, shortening the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, it is forecasted that in the coming time, Binh Thuan tourism will welcome an even higher number of tourists.
Number of visitors doubled
Based on information compiled from accommodation and tourism businesses, this year's holiday, the whole province welcomed 160,000 visitors, double the number of 80,000 visitors in the same period in 2022; average room occupancy rate is about 70-90%, tourism revenue is about 230 billion VND .
In particular, the number of tourists coming to the province was very large on April 29 - May 1. 1-2 star hotels and equivalent reached room occupancy of about 80-90%; 3-5 star resorts and equivalent reached room occupancy of approximately 95-100%.
In addition to family groups, there are also fewer tourists traveling to Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan via travel agencies. Tourism businesses and tourism services in key tourist areas of the province have carefully prepared human resources to serve tourists; prices of services and rooms have increased by 20-40%, seafood prices increase seasonally.

About 3 hours drive from Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan also attracts a large number of tourists during this holiday.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province, the total number of tourists visiting and relaxing in the province during the 5-day holiday, from April 29 to May 3, is estimated at 90,000, an increase of 49.5% over the same period in 2022. Of which, the number of international visitors increased by 100% with 2,000 visitors, mainly from Korea, China and Thailand.
Revenue from tourism activities during the holiday reached about 76 billion VND . Coastal areas attracted a lot of tourists. Specifically, room occupancy on April 29 - May 3 in the coastal areas of Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na reached 95-100%. At other accommodation establishments, room occupancy reached 80-100%.
In addition to coastal tourist attractions, eco-tourism attractions in Ninh Thuan such as My Nghiep lotus village, Tri Ha vineyard, Hoang Yen vineyard... are also sought after by many tourists.
Among them, the new tourist attraction of the seedless finger grape garden of farmer Nguyen Dinh Tri on Highway 27, about 5 km from the center of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city, is a favorite destination for tourists during this holiday.
