Accordingly, at 10:40 a.m. (local time), the rescue force of the Vietnam People's Army brought the body of a victim out of a collapsed building due to the earthquake in the capital Naypyidaw of Myanmar.

Meme Cho, the victim’s daughter, said the person trapped and killed in the collapsed building was 74-year-old U Maung Tin. When the earthquake occurred, the old man, the old woman and a child were in the house, while the old woman’s children were all at work. The child was also trapped inside, but was later rescued, losing a leg.

Previously, the rescue force of the Vietnam People's Army used sniffer dogs, wall-penetrating radar and image search equipment to determine the exact location of the deceased man.

Present to receive the body of Mr. U Maung Tin, his son expressed his deep gratitude to the rescue team of the Vietnam People's Army. He said: "I thought it was impossible to get my father out, but you did it. I am so moved that I don't know what to say. Thank you very much."

It is known that some rescue forces had previously arrived at the scene but either could not locate the deceased man or could not successfully carry out the rescue.
