(Dan Tri) - Fraudsters often send messages inviting and introducing attractive preferential loan programs. However, this is just a trick to create trust and appeal to people's urgent financial needs.
According to the Vietnam Cyberspace Emergency Response Center (VNCERT/CC), the Department of Information Security, online financial fraud is increasing, especially the form of impersonating financial institutions to invite people to borrow money with low interest rates and quick procedures.

Fraudsters often send text messages offering preferential loan programs with many attractive commitments. The scam messages also include a notice that no relatives are required to be verified or any fees are paid before receiving the money.
However, this is just a trick to create trust and appeal to people's urgent financial needs. When contacted, the subjects will ask for personal information such as CCCD/ID number, bank account number, and many other sensitive information.
After confirming that the “application has been approved,” the subjects will ask people to pay a fee for “disbursement” or “loan insurance.” The scammers promise that this amount will be returned along with the loan immediately after disbursement.
Once they receive money and complete information from the victim, the subjects will immediately block contact and disappear. Not stopping there, the victim is also at risk of having their personal information leaked for other bad purposes.
" People should be wary of loan invitations via text messages from unknown sources. Absolutely do not provide personal information or transfer money before disbursement.
If there are any requests for advance payment, this is most likely a sign of fraud. Before borrowing money, carefully check the financial company's information through official websites or competent agencies," VNCERT/CC Center recommends.
