At 9:00 a.m. this morning, the water level at Kim Tan Hydrological Station reached 11.81m, 0.19m below alert level 3 and continuing to rise.

The District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense is closely monitoring weather developments as well as the flood situation on the Buoi River, ready to respond to bad situations.

According to the district's response plan, if the flood rises above alert level 3, Thach Thanh district will proactively evacuate nearly 1,000 households and about 3,000 people in 9 communes along the Buoi River without dikes.

Currently, in some communes in the area, houses are flooded, the district has asked communes to evacuate the elderly and children to safety.

As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, more than 300 households in the district were flooded and many traffic routes were cut off, affecting people's lives and activities.
