Long An organizes conference to promote investment and infrastructure development opportunities in Korea

News from Long An Provincial People's Committee, from April 22 to 26, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut led the Long An Provincial Delegation to visit, work and promote investment in Korea. This is an activity in Long An's 2024 investment promotion program.

This business trip continues to introduce the potential and development orientation, affirming Long An as a destination with ideal investment opportunities for Korean enterprises. At the same time, it continues to connect Long An Industrial Parks with Korean investors in many fields such as high technology, innovation, renewable energy, and logistics.

This is also an opportunity for the province to connect with potential partners in infrastructure development, learn from advanced models and attract high-quality investment capital.

During the program, the province will organize a conference on investment promotion - potential and opportunities for infrastructure development in Long An in Seoul, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and co-organized by Dong Nai province. The conference is expected to attract more than 100 large Korean corporations to attend.

On the first day in Korea, the delegation met with former President Lee Myung Bak in Seoul.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Ut conveyed the greetings of former President Truong Tan Sang and expressed the honor of the working delegation to meet former President Lee Myung Bak.

Mr. Ut also hopes that the friendly and cooperative relationship between Long An province and Korean localities and enterprises will be fostered more closely and effectively, creating many benefits, contributing to embellishing and realizing the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" between the two countries of Vietnam and Korea.

During the meeting, former President Lee Myung Bak pledged to support the province in connecting and promoting cooperation between Korean businesses and investors to learn, research and invest in Long An, especially in the field of green growth.

Besides, he will connect the province to work with the Mayor of Seoul so that the two localities can cooperate in a friendly manner during the next business trip to Korea.

On the same day, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea. Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Vu Ho welcomed the delegation from Long An province to visit Korea.

The Ambassador highly appreciated Long An's efforts in attracting foreign investment in recent times, especially from Korea. He affirmed that he is always ready to support Long An in promoting its potential, connecting with Korean investors and promoting bilateral cooperation.

According to the schedule, the delegation will visit and hold talks with the Governor of Jeju Province on the potential for economic, cultural and social cooperation between the two localities; work with the Jeju Free International City Development Center, Yooshin Group, Zenith, etc.

The investment promotion program in Korea opens a series of investment promotion activities abroad in 2024 of Long An province. The activity aims to help Long An introduce the province's development orientation and investment opportunities to leading Korean corporations with high technology, modernity and strong spillover, opening up new investment opportunities, and strengthening sustainable development cooperation.
