Long An starts and inaugurates 5 projects to drive socio-economic development

Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch on organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for key national projects and major works on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on April 19, the People's Committee of Long An province simultaneously organized the groundbreaking and inauguration of 5 projects to create momentum for socio-economic development in the province.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and provincial government leaders from different periods attended the live television broadcast and groundbreaking ceremony of the Eco Retreat ecological urban, commercial and tourism project in Thanh Phu commune, Ben Luc, Long An.

Long An Department of Construction said that the ecological urban area, trade and tourism in Thanh Phu commune has an area of 220 hectares, with a total investment of over 16,981 billion VND. The project, when completed and put into operation, will not only contribute to the province's socio-economic development but also improve the quality of life for the people, creating a highlight in the urban architecture of Ben Luc district and the province in general.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and Long An leaders broke ground on the Eco Retreat ecological urban area, trade and tourism in Thanh Phu commune, Ben Luc, Long An.

At the same time, the investor coordinated with the People's Committee of Long An province to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of Mai Ba Huong residential area project on an area of 148.22 hectares in Luong Hoa commune. The project's completion will create a driving force to promote urban and industrial development and attract residents to live in Ben Luc district, contributing to the completion of technical-social infrastructure, creating jobs, increasing local budget revenue and spreading investment opportunities as well as socio-economic development of Ben Luc district in particular and Long An province in general.

Groundbreaking ceremony of Tandoland Industrial Park project.

Also in Ben Luc district, the investor coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build and operate the infrastructure of Tandoland Industrial Park on an area of 250 hectares, with a total investment of 3,144 billion VND.

The completed industrial park will contribute to attracting investment to the province; creating jobs, increasing income for local people; helping to promote the province's economic growth in the coming time.

Technical opening of provincial road project 823D, new Northwest axis connecting Long An and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Duc Hoa district, the Long An Provincial People's Committee held a technical opening ceremony for the provincial road 823D project, the axis connecting Long An and Ho Chi Minh City. The project is 14.27km long, with a 40m roadbed, 21m road surface, and a total investment of more than VND4,849 billion.

Provincial Road 823D connects Long An and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to the transport project, the investor coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee to inaugurate the project of the Factory producing accessories and spare parts for the automobile industry, phase 1, on an area of 2.8 hectares, with a capacity of 5,800 tons of products/year and phase 2 with a capacity of 9,600 tons of products/year. The total investment of the project is 337 billion VND.
