Long An: Clearing nearly 400 hectares of land

According to information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Long An province, from the beginning of 2025 to April, the whole province has compensated and cleared nearly 400 hectares of land.

Determining that compensation and site clearance play an important role in the socio-economic development of the locality, from the beginning of 2025, the province has directed its implementation resolutely. The Department of Agriculture and Environment has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee a Plan for implementing compensation, site clearance and resettlement in the province in 2025 for deployment and implementation.

From the beginning of 2025 to April, the whole province has paid compensation and cleared nearly 400 hectares. Of which, the area paid to households for land acquisition to implement the project is more than 395 hectares (public investment projects are more than 15 hectares; non-budget investment projects are more than 380 hectares); the area paid to support households in Duc Hue district to carry out demarcation and planting markers on the land border between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Cambodia is more than 4 hectares.

Thus, since the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 25-NQ/TU dated November 4, 2021, up to now, the whole province has paid compensation for more than 3,718 hectares/4,000 hectares (reaching 92.97% of the Resolution target)./.
