Inspiring Message to Students at Graduation Ceremony

The University of Economics - VNU has just held the first graduation ceremony of 2024 for more than 1,000 new PhDs, Masters and Bachelors of the University at the National Convention Center.

The first batch of degrees awarded in 2024 has 15 PhDs, 85 Masters and 937 Bachelors graduating in majors such as: Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Development Economics, International Economics and Economics.

At the ceremony, the school's board of directors awarded certificates of merit from the Director of Hanoi National University to 6 students of the QH-2020-E course. They achieved excellent results in the course and graduated as valedictorians in their majors.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Trung Thanh, President of the University of Economics, hopes that in the face of new challenges, new bachelors, masters, and doctors will continue to strive, constantly learn, always maintain a strong spirit, determination in all activities, not afraid of difficulties, and ready to contribute to the community and the Fatherland.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Truc Le - Chairman of the Council of the University of Economics, VNU sent a message of encouragement to the new bachelors, masters and doctors at the graduation ceremony.

"Today's graduation ceremony is the day when you officially declare to society that a talented class of young people from the University of Economics, a generation of global citizens with Vietnamese national identity, are ready to bring their heart - virtue - intelligence - talent to serve the country and the Fatherland.

After today's ceremony, it is also time for us teachers and students to say goodbye after 4 years together, studying and training together, overcoming many challenges together, developing practical skills together, and writing memorable memories of our student youth. You have also experienced many different learning cultures in the world and together created good values ​​for the school and for society...

At this important moment, before you say goodbye to UEB to continue your new journey in life, I hope that the heartfelt words I send to you today will be carried with you in your backpack into life.

First of all, I hope you will always keep your faith in the good things in life. Life inherently has opposite sides, like day and night, light and dark, joy and sadness.

It can originate from the impulsive, rash, foolish, arrogant moments of youth. It can make you pay a certain price, but don't lose faith in this beautiful life. Let's turn all those dark corners, those low notes into the complete beauty of your life.

The second thing I want to tell you is that let's live together with compassion. Let's promote kindness and appreciation together. You have learned to keep your heart close and your eyes far away.

You have learned how to serve others so that others can serve you - that is how your teachers have carefully guided you throughout your four years of university.

Teachers are always here waiting for your next experiences. Remember that UEB is always a warm home, ready to welcome you back with open arms.

Finally, I hope you will cultivate a strong will in life and a noble sense of national responsibility.

The Vietnamese people are an indomitable people, having spent thousands of years building and defending the country.
