Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has just introduced a project to develop eco-tourism, resorts and entertainment for the 2021-2030 period.
20 newly discovered areas have great potential for investment and tourism product development. With 11 areas with potential to develop into tourist routes, there are also areas with the graceful and charming appearance typical of the "kingdom" of caves such as Hung Lau, Ca Roong Kling Acu cave; Vom Gieng Vooc cave. And there are also places with unique values imbued with the identity of the primeval forest such as Re Khe forest, the population of green stone cypresses over 500 years old. According to the leader of the National Park, "Green stone cypresses are a globally endangered species that have been discovered in a strictly protected area with an area of about 5,000 hectares. Among them, there are many trees over 500 years old, a type of coniferous forest vegetation on limestone mountains that is unique and only remains in this National Park". "Currently, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park is exploiting 17 tourism products. However, the quality of some products is not commensurate with the heritage resources. There are still countless untapped potential values here waiting to be fully exploited. The National Park has cooperated in researching and measuring 447 caves with a total length of over 246 km" - said Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board. In addition, this unit has investigated and recorded the presence of 2,953 species of higher plants, 1,394 species of animals, and announced 43 new species to science, including 38 species of animals and 5 species of plants, typically the species of Limestone Warblers, Paradise Scorpions, Phong Nha Geckos, Vietnamese Cymbidiums, and Quang Binh Polygonum.
The Appeal
In the 20 areas just introduced, there are 9 tourist attractions and 11 areas with unique potential to develop tourist routes. With these nine new tourist attractions, each location has its own color and is as attractive and captivating as the places that have long been extremely famous in this National Park such as Phong Nha Cave, Chay River - Dark Cave, OZO Park... Among them, there are places worth admiring such as the eco-tourism experience zoo; the tourist destination of the semi-wild breeding area of Doi Mountain; the high-class resort tourist destination of U Bo Mountain; the eco-tourism destination of Chay Waterfall; the eco-tourism destination of Suoi 40; the resort tourist destination of Ba Tay Hill or the high-class resort tourist destination of Hung Tram Na...Both development and conservation
