Regarding the case of forcing a car and beating a person that has caused public outrage in recent days, the Investigation Police Agency of District 4, Ho Chi Minh City said that so far, the case has been clarified and the suspect Bui Thanh Khoa (40 years old, residing in District 10, temporarily residing in Nha Be District) has admitted. The police are consolidating the case file to carry out legal proceedings against Khoa.
“I was angry and lost control in a fit of rage. I knew my behavior was very hooligan, disrupting public order and security, causing traffic jams, and having a negative impact…
This is a lesson that I will remember for the rest of my life. And I hope everyone, especially young people, will learn from my case and not let a moment of anger make them make mistakes, it will be too late to regret it,” Khoa explained while working at the investigation agency.
Accordingly, on the morning of December 9, Khoa was driving a motorbike on Khanh Hoi Street, District 4, in the direction from District 7 to District 4. At this time, Ms. QTTA (23 years old, living in District 1) was driving a motorbike in the same direction.
Khoa said that at that time, Ms. A was driving too close, causing Khoa to lose control of the wheel. Khoa was angry, stopped Ms. A's car in the middle of the road and brutally beat her.
Khoa also said that because he mistook the driver for a young man, he used quite a heavy hand, otherwise a woman would not have acted that way.
The incident was recorded by the dash cam of a car traveling in the same direction and this is also one of the grounds for handling Khoa.
The clip shows that Khoa forced Ms. A. and the vehicle to stop in the middle of the road.
Khoa got out of the car and swung his arms to hit Ms. A. in the face and head, causing her to fall onto the road and onto the median strip. Not stopping there, Khoa continued to use his hands and elbows to hit the victim in the head and swung his legs to kick her straight in the face.
After the brutal beating, Khoa got on his motorbike and left. Ms. A. reported to the local police, went to the hospital for examination and initially determined that she had multiple facial injuries.
After getting involved, the police quickly identified and brought Khoa in for questioning.
At the police station, Khoa also explained that he works in the hair cosmetics business and his family's difficult circumstances could affect his mental health, and he hoped to be considered for leniency from the law so that he could soon return home to earn a living and raise his children.
