Shogakukan Publishing House has just announced that the 7th volume of the Doraemon Plus series will be released on December 1, to celebrate the 90th birthday of the late artist Fujiko F. Fujio (real name Hiroshi Fujimoto, he passed away in 1996).
Special Doraemon Plus episodes released first appeared in 2005, selected by Fujiko F. Fujio himself. These are his unpublished stories from the famous 45-volume series of short stories that have been published. Volume 6 of Doraemon Plus was published in 2014, consisting of 21 stories. The upcoming volume 7 consists of 20 stories.
6 Doraemon Plus story volumes have been introduced to readers by Kim Dong Publishing House. The content of the stories in this special series revolves around the daily life of the clumsy boy Nobita and the robot cat from the future Doraemon and his friends.
Doraemon comics are famous children's manga in the land of cherry blossoms as well as around the world, published in the 1970s. The story of a robot cat from the future returning to the past to live with and help a boy has shaken readers for generations. After the author passed away, the Doraemon brand has been continuously developed and created, including cartoons.
In 2014, when volume 6 of Doraemon Plus was published, Shogakukan simultaneously launched F Life , the official magazine about the series' creator Fujiko F. Fujio, on his 80th birthday. It is known that his longtime collaborator, Fujiko Fujio A (real name Motoo Abiko ), who created Doraemon with Fujiko F. Fujio, passed away in 2022 at the age of 88.
