Ronaldo's clothing store run by his sister in Funchal was forced to close.

Elma Aveiro - Ronaldo's older sister, confirmed the closure of the last CR7 store in Funchal (Madeira) after 15 years of operation. This was the store run by Elma for many years and was an iconic location for fans when visiting Madeira island, the Portuguese superstar's hometown.

On her personal page, Elma posted emotional pictures of the empty store and cleared shelves as a quiet but respectful farewell.

Ronaldo's sister wrote: "Big projects are underway, requiring a lot of time, energy and love from the family. Because life is a series of stages and you can't do everything at once, I have decided to close a chapter of my life after 15 years. This is not an easy decision. The store is the starting point of my career, a place that holds many memories and unforgettable moments."

The store in Funchal has attracted thousands of visitors, with its Ronaldo-branded products, while representing the homeland of one of the greatest players in football history.

At his peak, Ronaldo promoted the CR7 brand in many areas such as fashion, perfume, hotels, restaurants, and even beauty salons. However, the fashion chain in Portugal did not meet revenue expectations despite initially creating a buzz.

The Lisbon, Algarve and Madeira locations had attracted large numbers of visitors, but according to local media, most of them were just “looking around” rather than buying much. The business was struggling, combined with Elma’s busy schedule, which led to the decision to close.

Currently, the only CR7 clothing store still operating is at the Cristiano Ronaldo museum in Funchal, which houses trophies and memorabilia from his great football career.
