GĐXH - Cold orange cinnamon tea, pink grapefruit cold brew,... are unexpectedly "causing a storm" during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, especially among people living in urban areas. There is no need for grand slogans, the smart creativity of the young generation of Vietnamese people has said: "Patriotism is being expressed in a new era way".

In the flow of modern life, patriotism is no longer only present in steadfast oaths, but also permeates every small and subtle action. On the occasion of the April 30-May 1 holiday this year, many respondents chose to stay in the city, not to travel noisily or drink too much. They want to sit in small cafes, order a cup of "Independence" tea, sip a piece of "Freedom" cake, slow down and be grateful for living in peace.

Doc Lap Tea is not a brand name but a playful name for a rustic drink: deep, cold orange-cinnamon tea, lightly foamed with milk, garnished with a sprig of rosemary. Freedom Cake is not an official cake, either, just a slice of cake covered with a red flag with a yellow star in culinary powder, given as a gentle reminder: You live in a precious peace.

No need for fanfare, no need for banners. Just a glass of water, a piece of cake, but containing a spiritual declaration.

"Independence Tea - a flavor with national depth. Freedom Cake - a small slice of cake containing great pride".

No need to shout loudly, young people are silently loving their country in their own way.

"Patriotism in Peace: A Generation of Beautiful Living from Within".

They don’t carry flags on the streets, and rarely post lines of exclamation online. They choose simple drinks like a glass of milk tea or a cool glass of water, choose a quiet space, and enjoy freedom in the most humble way.

Even though they don't say it, they all understand that: "This freedom is real and it is exchanged for blood, for memories, for a century of war that they are lucky not to have to go through." Therefore, they live more kindly, know how to take care of their body - mind - spirit, eat healthily, consume sustainably and know how to spread positive values instead of consuming noisily.

Nguyen Dieu Linh (25 years old, media employee - living in Hanoi ): "I chose a cup of orange cinnamon tea because it is light, warm and has a Vietnamese flavor. The slice of cake with the flag on top looks beautiful, evokes the national spirit, and makes me feel at peace. I choose to sit here, drink a glass of water and breathe slowly and gently."

Doc Lap Tea is not on the official menu. It was born from the creative idea of a coffee shop in Hanoi. There, each cup of tea is named as a living message: "Peaceful Tea", "Equality Coffee",... and especially "Doc Lap Tea" dedicated to the April 30 holiday.

The way of drinking reflects the way of life, the way of life reflects the national ideal.

"Independence Tea - Freedom Cake"

Young people today express their patriotism through their way of life, their choice of food and drinks decorated with images that speak of patriotism and the way they spread values. Independence Tea and Freedom Cakes are named in a timely manner, so they are pleasing to them, helping them easily spread their national spirit and heart through social networks.

"I ordered both the Independence tea set and the Freedom cake not because of the promotion but because it reminded me that I was living in peace. Looking at the cake with the Vietnamese flag on it, I suddenly wanted to live a more decent life." - Le Minh Huy (22 years old, art student).

A cup of orange cinnamon tea with light milk foam, orange slices, cinnamon branches, etc. seems simple but meets the desire of "Drink clean - live green - have a cultured holiday".

They choose to drink detox instead of drinking strong alcohol, choose to listen to soft music instead of partying loudly, choose to write diaries and read books instead of chasing FOMO (fear of missing out). And that is how young people are protecting the value of a peaceful country, where every citizen can choose their own way of life, as long as they live decently.

"Independence Tea - Freedom Cake" and historical memories quietly flowing through the hearts of young people

Freedom is sometimes a small corner to be true to yourself.

Not going far, not checking in noisily, young people choose to stay in the city, choose to drink a nice glass of water, choose to live slowly as a thank you to the previous generation. And that is the soft spirit of modern patriotism.

"I don't wear a red flag with a yellow star shirt, nor do I post long captions. But I'm always grateful that I can choose to sit alone in a small cafe, order Vietnamese tea, and read books in my mother tongue. To me, that is Freedom." - Pham Quoc Bao (23 years old, working as a freelance designer).

In every sip of tea, every bite of cake, there is not only flavor but also memory. A part of culture, a soft symbol of history.

"The older I get, the more I realize that patriotism doesn't need to be loud. All I need to do is not forget where I came from. A slice of Freedom cake is to remind me: Today's freedom is not something obvious." - Anh Tu (26 years old, freelance photographer in Hanoi).

Patriotism through lifestyle - civilized, humble, tasteful

"Patriotism is being expressed in a new-age way."

When the country needs it, young people are ready to go to the front lines. But when the country is at peace, young people need to know how to keep themselves clean, maintain a beautiful lifestyle, and maintain a kind mindset – that is also a way to love the country in the long term and sustainably.
