Mr. Thai Tran, CEO of TT Meridian Company - a company specializing in distributing Vietnamese agricultural products in the UK - said that this year, the company imported U Hong lychee for the first time, a type of lychee that ripens about a month earlier than Thieu lychee, to compete with lychees from Mexico and China, currently sold in the UK market. This batch of U Hong lychee will be distributed to Asian and local supermarkets in the UK. It is expected that the company will import from 3 to 5 tons of lychee each week depending on consumption demand.

According to Director Thai Tran, Meridian Center imported U Hong lychee before Mexican and Chinese lychees were harvested and imported to the UK to exploit the market early, creating opportunities for Vietnamese lychees with good quality, sweet and fragrant taste, to approach and conquer consumers in the host country. In particular, U Hong lychee products distributed in the UK market this year have packaging bearing the image of the red flag with yellow star of Vietnam, helping consumers to recognize the national brand, creating the impression that lychee is a specialty of Vietnam.

In addition, starting this year, TT Meridian Company will also use product packaging with the image of the red flag with yellow star to package Vietnamese products distributed in the UK to build and promote the Vietnamese brand as a major producer and exporter of agricultural products in the world, helping consumers easily and quickly identify Vietnamese products on supermarket shelves in the UK.

The CEO of TT Meridian Company shared that the initiative to identify the Vietnamese brand through the image of the red flag with yellow star is one of the efforts of the company and its partners in Vietnam.
