Just two weeks ago, some Liverpool fans burned Alexander-Arnold's jerseys to show their criticism of the English star defender.

There have been rumours that Alexander-Arnold has reached an agreement to join Real Madrid. The 26-year-old defender has been stalling on renewing his contract with Liverpool for the past year.

But then in the decisive moment, Alexander-Arnold once again played the hero for the Anfield team.

Facing a Leicester team that was almost certain to be relegated before this round, Liverpool still encountered many difficulties due to the lack of luck of their strikers.

Coach Arne Slot used his strongest lineup in this match, with the attacking trio of Salah, Diaz and Gakpo.

Salah had a great chance early in the match but his diagonal shot bounced from one post to another before regretfully bouncing out.
