Two consecutive cases of violence against preschool children, Ministry of Health 'speaks up'

In recent days, the press and social networks have posted many images and clips reflecting the teacher of Dap Cau Garment Company Kindergarten (Thi Cau Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province) committing acts of violence against children, pulling the child into a corner hidden from the camera, slapping the child repeatedly in the face and grabbing one leg and lifting the child up.

The press and social networks also have many posts with clips reflecting that teachers at Thu Suong kindergarten (An Binh neighborhood, Tiem Tom town, Ba Tri district, Ben Tre province) have committed acts of violence against children and continuously stuffed food into the child's mouth, causing the child to cry and food to spill out.

Through monitoring the local inspection, verification and handling of the case, the Department of Mothers and Children requested the Department of Health of Bac Ninh and the Department of Health of Ben Tre to coordinate with relevant agencies to support and intervene for the abused children in the two cases mentioned above, at the same time, promptly and strictly handle the subjects violating children's rights and handle the responsibilities of individuals and organizations if they are slow in handling the case.

The Department of Mothers and Children also directed the Department of Health of Bac Ninh and the Department of Health of Ben Tre to strengthen communication work, raise awareness of agencies, organizations, families and individuals in caring for, nurturing and educating children; and prevent violence and child abuse.

The Bac Ninh Department of Health and the Ben Tre Department of Health are required to report the results of the situation to the Department of Mothers and Children before April 25.
