Continuously failing the sub-contests, Mai Phuong faces many challenges at Miss World 2023

The 71st Miss World contest held in India gathered more than 100 contestants. Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong is considered a strong representative of Vietnam in this year's contest, with 2 years of preparation. However, the final night is approaching but Mai Phuong's achievements are still quite limited.

Accordingly, in the list of 23 contestants who will continue in the Talented Beauty competition, there is no representative from Vietnam.

This is a big regret because the beauty has a talent for singing, having won this award at Miss World Vietnam 2022. She also invested and prepared carefully for her performance at the Miss World 2023 competition. The beauty studied vocal music with a teacher, and created a new arrangement for the competition with producer DTAP.

Mai Phuong was also not among the 6 winners of the Multimedia Challenge. This was an additional challenge, not part of the competition’s regular activities. However, the winning contestant will have more opportunities to appear in the media as well as gain “plus points” in their journey to conquer the crown.

Mai Phuong continues to be absent from the two secondary awards at Miss World 2023.

In the Sports Beauty contest, Mai Phuong was not called into the Top 32 despite her best efforts. Her highest achievement at this point was entering the Top 25 Head to Head. However, the beauty was not in the list of the top 5 to be given a special place in the Top 40 in the final.

Mai Phuong's consecutive losses in the sub-contests have made the audience worried about her ability to achieve a high ranking at Miss World 2023.

In the coming days, the beauty born in 1999 will continue to participate in two important sub-contests: Top Model and Charity Project. However, this is not a big advantage for the Vietnamese representative.

Top Model is a challenge to find girls with good performance skills, attractive charisma and graceful steps on stage. With a height of 1m70, Mai Phuong is said to have difficulty because there are too many strong opponents.

To participate in the Charity Project competition, Mai Phuong brought the project "Yako By MaiPhuong". This is a non-profit fashion brand that she co-founded with a partner, 100% of the profits will be donated to charity activities. The audience believes that if she wants to win, Mai Phuong needs to be skillful enough to convey her message to the judges, helping them understand her mission in her hometown.

Remember at Miss World 2017 , Do My Linh won the Charity Project award when she climbed mountains and waded through streams to "carry electricity" to the highlands. Luong Thuy Linh was also in the Top 10, Tieu Vy was in the Top 5 in the 2018 season, Do Thi Ha was also in the Top 28 in the 2021 season in this sub-contest.

The fact that her seniors all made their mark in this important competition is a great pressure for Mai Phuong.

Vietnamese representatives are considered friendly and sociable.

Although not too outstanding, Mai Phuong is highly appreciated by many famous beauty sites. Missosology once predicted that she would be in the Top 15 finalists. This is a pretty good sign for the Vietnamese representative.

From the moment she entered the competition, Mai Phuong was loved by the contestants for her friendly and open personality. With her fluent English communication skills, the beauty always took the initiative to start conversations and had a friendly attitude towards everyone.

She was praised for always being meticulous in every activity, cleverly promoting Vietnamese culture to friends around the world and international media through her costumes. In the Sports Beauty round, Mai Phuong stirred up the atmosphere by instructing the contestants to dance See Tinh . On familiar music, the beauties excitedly imitated the movements of the Vietnamese representative.
