The United Nations is ready to support Vietnam in achieving its development goals.

At a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that Vietnam supports and is determined to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and respond to climate change; and supports UN initiatives to accelerate the realization of sustainable development goals.

The Deputy Prime Minister proposed that the United Nations prioritize supporting Vietnam in mobilizing finance, transferring technology, sharing knowledge and practical experience, especially in a number of areas such as improving the capacity to respond and adapt to climate change, effectively managing water resources, energy conversion, innovation, and digital transformation.

Affirming that Vietnam is an important partner of the United Nations, Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed hopes that Vietnam will cooperate in implementing agendas, including climate change response, energy transition, digital transformation, maintaining food supply chains, promoting education, ensuring inclusive development, social justice, etc. Ms. Amina Mohammed said that United Nations organizations are ready to support Vietnam in mobilizing resources, thereby helping Vietnam accelerate the implementation of development goals.

Visiting and speaking at Cornell School of Technology, part of the long-standing and prestigious Cornell University in the United States, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai expressed his delight at visiting one of the leading universities in the United States and the world, which has actively promoted educational cooperation with Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his impression of the programs and projects that the school is implementing; he suggested that the school continue to promote cooperation and coordinate research on joint training programs with major universities in Vietnam.

At the business seminar organized by BCIU with the participation of nearly 20 large US enterprises in fields such as banking, finance, technology, telecommunications, services, healthcare, education... The Deputy Prime Minister was pleased with the development of Vietnam-US relations in all fields, in which trade and investment relations are the pillars and driving force; highly appreciated the investment, production and business activities of US enterprises in Vietnam.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that US businesses continue to expand their operations in Vietnam, focusing on areas where Vietnam has demand and US businesses have strengths; continue to propose, comment and recommend policies on digital transformation, training high-quality human resources, developing infrastructure and information technology; affirming that the Vietnamese Government always accompanies and creates favorable conditions for foreign investors in general and US investors in particular to resolve difficulties and obstacles, and implement effective and sustainable investment and business projects in Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister also received a number of corporations, including Rosen Partner. The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Rosen Partner's search for opportunities to expand investment in Vietnam in the fields of real estate development and tourism. Rosen Group leaders expressed optimism about investment prospects, especially in relation to tourism promotion projects such as the construction of entertainment complexes; thanked the Vietnamese Government for actively improving the business environment and always accompanying and supporting US companies to operate effectively in Vietnam.
