Within the framework of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Ban Flower Festival 2024, on March 16, at the Dien Bien Phu Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Center, the Thai Xoe and Mong Panpipe Art Festival took place; and a performance of traditional costumes of ethnic groups.
The festival has the participation of 34 mass art troupes from districts, towns, cities, clubs, and schools in Dien Bien province.
Activities at the Festival aim to honor, preserve and promote the cultural values and unique beauty of ethnic costumes, and promote heritages that have been recorded and recognized such as Thai xoe art and Mong panpipes.
In Dien Bien province, the Thai Xoe art form is being organized and expanded in the community, attracting a large number of students and clubs to participate.
With the art of Mong flute dance, the artists display skillful performances associated with rituals, customs, and traditional costumes of ethnic groups, bringing many rich and attractive experiences, expressing the unique beauty of the people, culture, and history of Dien Bien.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, there were competitions displaying traditional ethnic costumes.
Activities within the framework of the Thai Xoe and Mong Panpipe Arts Festival will be held at the Dien Bien Phu Cultural Exchange and Tourism Information Center; Dien Bien Provincial Stadium and the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument ceremony ground from March 16 to March 17, 2024.
