The Vietnamese-Russian joint venture Vietsovpetro, in collaboration with the FPT-Petro South contractor consortium, held a launching ceremony for a comprehensive strategic consulting project on digital transformation and IT system development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Truong Quoc Lam, Chief of Office of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, assessed the project as an important step in the "Digital Transformation Roadmap at Vietsovpetro" and hoped that Vietsovpetro's leadership would actively participate in directing and inspecting the project, taking advantage of the contractor's experience, creating a digital transformation ecosystem that connects Vietsovpetro's departments and synchronizes with the PVN system.
With the similarities and resonance of practical experience that FPT has accumulated through digital transformation consulting projects for many key fields such as oil and gas, energy, electricity and the digital transformation process within FPT itself, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation, is confident that the project will achieve complete success, become a typical example of the Vietnamese oil and gas industry, making Vietsovpetro one of the members of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to become a digital enterprise.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of the Vietnamese-Russian consortium Vietsovpetro and the contractor consortium FPT - Petro South signed the project kick-off minutes in digital form and performed the kick-off ceremony with 3D Hologram imaging technology, symbolizing the digital transformation process that is taking place and will take place strongly at Vietsovpetro.
At the program, FPT Digital presented the overall progress of the project, which was implemented in about 9 months with 4 main milestones. In which, phase one is to launch the project. Phase two is to assess the current status and digital capacity - digital development capacity of Vietsovpetro, including assessing trends - digital transformation results in the operations of upstream oil and gas companies. Phase three is to build a vision and strategy - digital transformation program for Vietsovpetro. Phase four is to build an IT system development plan (IT-Master Plan) to meet Vietsovpetro's digital transformation program...
Representing the FPT - Petro South contractor consortium, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, General Director of FPT Corporation, shared: “Vietsovpetro and FPT share many things in common. Firstly, both businesses were established during a difficult period for the country, then went through a period of integration, transformation with the changes of the world and are entering a period when the world economy is experiencing many fluctuations. Secondly, the two businesses are creating thousands of jobs for workers, contributing practical values to the country, contributing to economic development, creating a happier life for the people”.
