Specific regulations of Hanoi People's Committee on start and end dates of each semester
In the 2023-2024 school year, Hanoi will have about 2.3 million preschool and primary school students. The number of first graders will increase by nearly 12,000 and sixth graders will increase by nearly 39,000 compared to the previous school year.
According to the decision on the 2023-2024 school year time plan framework issued by the Ministry of Education and Training earlier, the principle of building the school year time plan of localities is to ensure the number of actual study weeks.
Specifically, for preschool and generaleducation, there are 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester 1, 17 weeks for semester 2); must be suitable to the characteristics and practical conditions of the locality; holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents.
