In the first match, which took place on March 20, U.22 Vietnam had a commendable performance against U.22 Korea. Despite being underestimated, the team led by coach Dinh Hong Vinh still played confidently, opening the score in the 53rd minute thanks to Thanh Nhan. Unfortunately, in the 90+1 minute, a lack of concentration in the defense caused U.22 to end the match with a 1-1 draw with U.22 Korea.

After a regrettable draw with U.22 Korea, U.22 Vietnam will face U.22 Uzbekistan. This match will take place at 6:35 p.m. on March 23 at the Yancheng Olympic Sports Center Stadium (China).

In terms of ability, U.22 Uzbekistan is rated higher than U.22 Korea. The Central Asian representative brought with him Team A, including a group of players who are the pillars of the U.23 team. Some players in the U.22 Uzbekistan team even had the honor of wearing the national team jersey.

At the CFA Team China 2024 tournament, U.22 Vietnam also faced U.22 Uzbekistan. At that time, the young players of the "Golden Star Warriors" could not create a surprise, losing the match 0-2. Notably, players such as Thanh Nhan, Xuan Bac, Quoc Viet, goalkeeper Cao Van Binh... or even acting head coach of U.22 Vietnam Dinh Hong Vinh all participated in the above match.

Sharing about the preparation plan for the match with U.22 Uzbekistan, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh assessed that this is an opponent with good physique, physical strength and a very disciplined playing style. To prepare for this match, the coaching staff and players will focus on recovering their physical strength, adjusting appropriate tactics and preparing the players mentally.

“The match against U.22 Uzbekistan will be a difficult one. However, this is also an opportunity for U.22 Vietnam to continue to assert themselves and test new tactical options,” coach Dinh Hong Vinh added.

Before the match between U.22 Vietnam and U.22 Uzbekistan, the host team U.22 China will have a second match, against U.22 Korea. This match will also take place at the Yancheng Olympic Sports Center Stadium (China), at 2:30 p.m. on March 23.
