How many teams are participating in EURO 2024?
EURO 2024 has 24 national teams competing, including Germany as the host.

According to the rules of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups, each group has 4 teams, in which the German team as the host is automatically placed in group A, specifically:
Group A: Germany, Scotland, Hungary, Switzerland
Group B: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Albania
Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England
Group D: Poland, Netherlands, Austria, France
Group E: Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine
Group F: Turkey, Georgia, Portugal, Czech Republic
The teams will compete in a round robin format, with the top two teams from each group, along with the four third-placed teams from the six groups with the best records, advancing to the round of 16.

Cologne: Cologne Stadium (47,000 seats)
Dortmund: BVB Stadion Dortmund (66,000 seats)
Dusseldorf: Dusseldorf Arena (47,000 seats)
Frankfurt: Frankfurt Arena (48,000 seats)
Gelsenkirchen: Arena AufSchalke (50,000 seats)
Hamburg: Volksparkstadion Hamburg (50,000 seats)
Leipzig: Leipzig Stadium (42,000 seats)
Munich: Munich Football Arena (67,000 seats)
Stuttgart: Stuttgart Arena (54,000 seats)
Of the 10 stadiums hosting EURO 2024, 9 were used at the 2006 World Cup hosted by Germany. Munich Football Arena (home of Bayern Munich) was chosen to host EURO for the second consecutive time.

EURO 2024 prize money for teams
The total prize money for EURO 2024 is similar to EURO 2020 at 331 million euros, specifically as follows:
Qualifying for the finals: 9.25 million euros
Match bonus: 1 million euros for a win and 500,000 euros for a draw.
Round of 16: €1.5 million
Quarter-finals: 2.5 million euros
Semi-final: 4 million euros
Champion: 8 million euros
Runner-up: 5 million euros
The EURO 2024 champions could take home a total prize money of 28.25 million euros.
