Subjects and methods of entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year

Pursuant to Article 5 of the Regulations issued with Circular 11/2014/TT-BGDDT, the subjects of admission are students who have graduated from junior high school in the General Education Program or the Continuing Education Program with an age of 15 years old, except in cases of skipping a grade in the previous level or students entering the level at an age higher than the prescribed age.

High school admissions are organized in one of three ways:

- Admission: based on the training and learning results of 4 years of junior high school of the candidate. If the candidate fails a grade, the results of the repeated year of that grade will be used;

- Entrance exam;

- Combine entrance exam with selection.

Students who are given priority points for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year

Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 7 of the Regulations issued together with Circular 11/2014/TT-BGDDT (amended in Circular 18/2014/TT-BGDDT and Circular 05/2018/TT-BGDDT), the Department of Education and Training stipulates the level of additional points for each group of subjects receiving priority points with the difference in additional points between the two next priority groups being 0.5 points calculated on a 10-point scale, including:

* Target group 1:

- Martyr's child;

- Children of war invalids with 81% or more loss of working capacity;

- Children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies for war invalids, who have a reduced working capacity of 81% or more".

- Children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals;

- Children of revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945;

- Children of revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising.

* Target group 2:

- Children of Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, and Heroic Vietnamese Mothers;

- Children of war invalids with working capacity loss below 81%;

- Children of war invalids with labor capacity loss below 81%;

- Children of people granted "Certificate of beneficiaries of policies for war invalids, who have a reduced working capacity of less than 81%".
