Ceremony to deploy the tasks of the Waterway Police force

On the afternoon of April 6, 2025, at Ninh Chu Fishing Port, the Provincial Police organized a ceremony to deploy the Waterway Police force to carry out its duties and launch a patrol and control canoe. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen attended and spoke at the ceremony.

In recent years, the Provincial Police have proactively coordinated closely with departments, branches, sectors, and Party committees at all levels to synchronously and drastically deploy many solutions in ensuring traffic order and safety (TTATGT), maintaining social order and bringing about many positive results, contributing significantly to protecting the safety of life and property of the State and the People. However, with the rapid development in the number and density of watercraft, while the waterway traffic infrastructure is not yet synchronized; the number of vehicles, expertise, science and technology are still lacking compared to the requirements, ... are the difficulties and challenges for the work of ensuring social order on waterways.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen requested the Provincial Police, especially the Waterway Police force, together with the Departments, branches, localities, fronts, and organizations, to continue to seriously and effectively implement the Directives, Resolutions, and regulations of the Party and the State on ensuring traffic safety on waterways; thoroughly apply science and technology in all aspects of work, develop a general master plan for waterways and waterway transport, associated with ensuring traffic safety, social order, and crime prevention. Regularly organize propaganda activities, disseminate and educate the law, methods, and tricks of criminals on waterways, and guide people on measures to raise vigilance and proactively prevent. Quickly develop plans, arrange forces, and means to organize patrols, control, and strictly handle violations of traffic safety on inland waterways, absolutely do not allow vehicle owners to put vehicles that do not ensure technical safety into operation on waterways. At the same time, well implement the Coordination Regulation No. 698/QD-UBND dated November 25, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee in managing inland waterway traffic activities in Ninh Thuan province./.
