BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2024 has concluded with the Award Ceremony for the Tournament Champion at Legend Danang Golf Resort.
The race to the 2024 BRG Open Golf Championship title begins on August 29, on the par-73 course, designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.
After three days of fierce competition, the championship belonged to Indian golfer Rahil Gangjee, with a total score of -10.
The prize for the champion is 17,500 USD out of a total prize fund of 100,000 USD along with a cup made from Chu Dau ceramic (Hai Duong) with a history of formation and development of 600 years.
Before entering the Final Day, Rahil Gangjee had a total score of -7 and was 3 strokes behind the leader Aidric Jose Chan. However, Gangjee had an impressive Final Day with a round of 70 (-3) with 5 birdies and 3 bogeys, in which he scored 3 birdies in the last 4 holes to bring his total score to -10, equaling the achievement with Jose Chan in the group behind.
Jose Chan reached the final hole 18 and only needed to keep par to drag the match into a play-off, but he made a mistake with a bogey and only had a total score of -9. Therefore, the championship officially belonged to Rahil Gangjee.
This tournament had 19 Vietnamese golfers, of which 4 representatives successfully passed the cut: Nguyen Tuan Anh, Truong Chi Quan, Nguyen Huu Quyet and Doan Uy. Of which, Nguyen Tuan Anh was the golfer with the best result with 11th place on the ranking, thereby achieving the title of Best Amateur.

2024 is the third consecutive year that the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang has been hosted, contributing to affirming Danang as "Asia's Leading Event - Festival Destination", and at the same time, an important milestone in developing the city's golf tourism potential to become one of the leading golf tourism destinations in Asia and the world, contributing to promoting the development of high-quality tourism, in line with the city's tourism development orientation.
