Le Thi Tuyet determined to return to the highest position at Tien Phong Marathon 2025

Meeting Le Thi Tuyet again after a year, she still had the same shy appearance as well as the same desire. With strong running steps in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, the 21-year-old athlete is full of determination to reclaim the top position on the 42.195 km route of the 66th Tien Phong Newspaper Marathon and Long Distance National Championship - 2025 (Tien Phong Marathon 2025).

Remember at last year's tournament in Phu Yen , Le Thi Tuyet's hometown, the race between her and Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa became a classic. Winning the title right in the land where she was born and raised is a dream, so Le Thi Tuyet had a promising start. She maintained a steady pace and gradually broke away from the rest.

However, at Da Rang bridge, Ngoc Hoa shortened the distance, gradually approaching Le Thi Tuyet. At Hung Vuong street, the athlete from Binh Phuoc officially caught up with Phu Yen's hope, officially creating a tense competition.

Unfortunately for Le Thi Tuyet, the pain in her abdomen greatly affected her running. For a long distance, everyone could clearly see her putting her hand on her stomach, trying to control the pain. If it were a normal person, the best solution at that time would be to stop and leave the game. But Le Thi Tuyet was not.

Le Thi Tuyet is more mature and stronger at the age of 21, ready for the goals ahead.

She knew that many people were placing their trust in her, hoping to see the daughter of Phu Yen standing on the highest podium in the 1/4 Square, Tuy Hoa City. Therefore, her extraordinary efforts helped her break through once again when turning onto Doc Lap Street, amidst the cheers of her fans.

Only Ngoc Hoa was equally excellent. She sped up and sprinted forward. When the finish line came into sight, the athlete from Binh Phuoc broke away and became the first to reach the finish line.

A year has passed and disappointments and regrets are also left behind, becoming lessons for Le Thi Tuyet to become more mature. Currently, she is aiming for the next goals, such as the Asian Athletics Championships in Korea at the end of May. According to coach Nguyen Tuan Anh, Tuyet's teacher at the Da Nang National Sports Training Center, the March period is to test and evaluate physical strength and endurance before focusing on professional events in April.

Tien Phong Marathon 2025 is part of the preparation plan, and is also an important tournament. Therefore, Le Thi Tuyet is very ready to conquer and step onto the highest podium similar to Tien Phong Marathon 2023 in Lai Chau, when she excellently finished with 2 hours 54 minutes 33 seconds.

In the year since Tien Phong Marathon 2024, Le Thi Tuyet has made many marks on the running track.

At the 2024 National Athletics Championship, she surpassed her senior Pham Thi Hong Le, successfully defending the Gold medal in the 10,000m distance with a time of 33 minutes 40 seconds 66.

In 2025, Le Thi Tuyet has many goals to aim for.

She will compete in the 2025 Asian Athletics Championships, followed by the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

But before that, Le Thi Tuyet will focus on Tien Phong Marathon 2025, determined to achieve the highest results on the full marathon track.
